Storing and Organizing Media for Story Productions

The first thing I do with a client project is create a set of Google Drive folders.

Google drive is great for story productions because all family members can upload the photos, videos, and documents they have.

This is a good idea if only for the purpose of having a safe place to store the digital assets.

I also use an AI tool ClarityScribe to transcribe the video and create various descriptions of the content that can be used in Story Productions.

The folders are also a good place to put scanned images and raw recordings from smartphones, StreamYard Studio, or Zoom recordings.

I suggest organizing the Google Drive folders into subfolders with names that make it easy to find what you need.

The Google Drive folders are also a good place to store the books, videos, and other assets of Story Productions.

Here are ways that I can help:

  • Join the Family Story Challenge and download a copy of The Four Steps For Publishing Family Stories at https://www.sharedvisionspublishing.com/storychallenge
  • Purchase the Shared Visions Golden Publishing Kit using the same link. All of the challenge trainings will go in there to augment publishing resources already there.
  • Retain me to help you with all of the steps of your Story Productions.

Marketing and Publishing Actions to Grow Your Business

If you are an author, coach, speaker, or entrepreneur, your growing success is built through consistent actions.

This post presents a number of action steps that you can take yourself or with my help.

Some of the actions are daily and weekly practices, and some are small projects. Start with the one with the most impact today and add others over time.

Here are some actions to consider.

Blog Posts

One of the most effective ways to share your ideas and offers is to publish a blog post regularly.

You can register the posts with Google Search Console to get listed in searches quickly,

You can leverage these posts through repurposing:

  • Publish as a LinkedIn article
  • Publish on Substack
  • Publish as Social Media Posts
  • Use in Online Courses and Membership Programs
  • Include in your books.

I can help you with the writing and publishing.

Social Media Posts

Regular posts on social media can keep you in mind for potential collaborators, clients, and customers.

Building a tribe can also help you get speaking gigs and podcast invitations.

The posts also contribute to your online presence through searches. Be the go-to authority who seems to be everywhere!

Many of the people you meet networking will check out your online presence by searching.

I can help you with that.

Update Your Online Presence

Do your website, social media profiles, and YouTube channels present what you offer in a magnetic way?

Or are they out of date and ineffective?

I offer a free review with suggestions for improvement.
My partner Bonnie is fun to work with to tweak your profiles.

Using More Video

Video is one of the best ways to get people’s attention to what you have to offer.

Video is also a fabulous tool for sharing your insights or simply entertaining.

Videos can be simple live streams from your phone, full productions, or anything in between.

I use StreamYard Studio to stream interviews, commentary, offers, and training to a wide audience.

I will also use the audio from the to create a podcast to reach a broad audience through audio platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon, and iHeartRadio.

Need help to set up and sustain our video strategies?

Connecting With Email

The best thing you can do for your long-term success is to build a mailing list and send regular emails to your tribe.

Often the first action step for your potential collaborators and clients will be to sign up for your mailing list.

Here are some actions with your mailing list:

  • Email at least once a week with information to engage people with you and what you offer.
  • Mail invitations to events and workshops.
  • Deliver a series of emails on a specific topic or training as an automated sequence.

I use Kartra to capture leads and send emails. There are many other platforms.

I can set you up and help with your email content and strategies.

Presentations and Workshops

A live presentation where people can engage with you and ask questions can help you attract and convert people to your offers.

I can provide many examples of people who generate thousands of dollars of revenue through presentations and workshops.

I can help you implement full workshop funnels.

Book and Course Publishing

Nothing moves you from being a one-to-one service provider to having a scalable business than having books and courses.

Books can also be your lead magnet and calling card for getting publicity and invitations to speaking opportunities.

A book and course combination can be your golden ticket to success.

The good news is that courses and books can often be built using content from your posts, videos, and presentations.

I can help you with all of the book, course, and multimedia publishing steps.

What Are Your Goals?

Let’s discuss your goals and how to implement some or all of the action steps.

I offer you a free suggestion report for the actions that would help you the most, sorted by priority, including links to some resources to help you implement them yourself.

And I am available to help you implement.

The Four-Hour Power Launch For Your Golden Offer

I have had a lot of success selling things like concert and stage production tickets from simple landing pages. Also things like How to Coach Baseball to Kids and other programs and products that people wanted.

It is a lot easier to sell something that people know they want and are actively seeking. Then the mission is to let people know about your Golden Offer and send people to the landing page.

The Four-Hour Power Launch is all about getting people to your landing page to either buy something or sign up for something.

Examples include:

  • Concert
  • Stage Production
  • Book Launch
  • Course Launch
  • Webinar Registration
  • Product
  • Information that Change Lives

Everything I will describe for a Power Launch can be done without cost with channels and tools you likely already have.

My Golden Offer is to have a discussion with you about doing a Power Launch for you in return for a percentage of sales

Your Golden Offer

This strategy assumes that you have a Golden Offer, like The Golden Key To Eternal Satisfaction, ready to roll and the mission is to let them know about it and get them to buy.

Here I am making up a Golden Offer that I am fairly sure would interest millions of people, as we head toward Superbowl Sunday.

Hang Out With Taylor Swift For Superbowl Sunday and Support Your Favorite Charity!

This assumes that the Kansas City Chiefs get by the Baltimore Ravens in the Conference Final. That will be tough as the Baltimore Ravens have been the most consistently competitive team through the regular season and the playoffs.

The Chiefs will need some Patrick Mahones ~ Travis Kelce ~ Taylor Swift magic.

The offer would look something like this:

Want to Hang Out With Taylor Swift On Superbowl Sunday?

Enter here to win a day with Taylor Swift including all of the Superbowl Sunday activities she attends ~ Pregame Events, Watch the Game, and Postgame Events.

As a winner, we will donate all of the net proceeds of this contest to a charity of your choice. We anticipate that donation to be millions of dollars that can change lives.

Enter the contest for $1

Important: This is a fictional contest as a hypothetical example.

The Power Launch Roadmap

Here is the strategy I use do a launch within a day for a Golden Offer, something that people will want and sign up with a single exposure.

  1. Have a compelling offer.
  2. Create a Splash image for the offer.
  3. Create a landing page that presents the offer in a way that converts. I use Kartra for sales pages.
  4. Send your mailing list that describes the offer with a link to the sales page.
  5. Post one or more blog posts that send people to the landing page.
  6. Prerecord or live stream a video introducing the offer and sending to the landing page. I set up a LinkedIn event, then use StreamYard to broadcast to many channels, including:
    • LinkedIn
    • YouTube
    • Facebook Profile, Pages, and Groups
    • Instagram
    • X (twitter)
  7. Use a social media tool like MeetEdgar to post to platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TicToc, Pinterest, …
  8. Publish as a podcast to Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, Spotify, Amazon, and others. I recently started using Buzzsprouts to push the podcasts out to the podcast platforms.

The main goal is to make sales, signups, and build a mailing list.

Most of the campaign is reusing the same marketing content across many platforms.

Since the whole process can be done in a few hours. you can repeat multiple times a week with variations of the posts.

I am available to do this with you or for you.

Paid Services to Consider

Everything described in the Power Launch Roadmap can be done with free or near-free websites and free video and social media accounts.

The following paid services can amplify the results, leverage your time, and integrate the marketing.

Paid Advertising

You can get your offer out to thousands of people in a targeted audience with Facebook ads and boosts for less than $40 a week.

This works very well for things like selling concert tickets and theater productions.

You may want to experiment with paid advertising with Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and others. Start small and add money to ads that make sales.

You may also want to try radio and print ads. Radio ads can be very cost-effective for local markets.

Press Releases

Press releases can be a fantastic way to get publicity for your projects. An interview with a newspaper, magazine, radio program, or television station can be priceless.

You can send your press releases yourself.

You could also use a service to get your press release out to thousands of outlets.

Here is a comprehensive review of many recommended services for press releases.

I can also do it all for you with my tools and strategies.

Tracy Parsons ~ Voice Talent for Advertizing, Audiobooks, and Training

Greg Dixon talked with Tracy Parsons of Voices For Hire about how she got involved with the voice-over industry and the types of projects she likes.

  • Tracy plunged into the voiceover industry around 2008-2009, starting small and gradually building her reputation in the field.
  • Initially, Tracy worked along with her family on various voiceover projects, but it eventually became a solo venture.
  • Tracy’s work primarily involves training modules for companies, but she also narrates audiobooks, providing a deeply engaging read-through.
  • The process of creating an audiobook is time-consuming as it requires a deep understanding of the story and its characters.
  • Tracy enjoys the different projects she works on, learning various things from them.
  • Tracy prefers that potential clients send her a short snippet of their script, allowing her to tailor her delivery style specifically for the given material.
  • Quality and speed of delivery are prioritized in Tracy’s work, owing to her professional studio and experience in the field.

Copywriting and Multimedia Marketing for Your Creative Abundance

Both Betty Withrow and Greg Dixon have done a lot of writing for an amazing range of projects. Whatever is needed to get the job done.

Betty’s niche of choice is helping writers create their books and longer-form writing projects.

Greg has a lot of experience with various kinds of copywriting for training and marketing.

Betty Withrow often says that the time to start marketing your book is when you decide to start writing it.

The same is true of courses, memberships, and other creations.

Copywriting

While almost everything humans create and communicate involves words (writing), the kinds of copywriting we do include:

  • Blog Posts
  • Emails
  • Newsletters
  • Social Media Posts
  • Presentations
  • Networking Introductions
  • Training
  • Demonstrations
  • Product Descriptions
  • Landing Pages
  • Video Scripts
  • Chat Scripts
  • Songs
  • Audio Books

Multimedia Components

With the exception of text-only emails, virtually all writing for marketing is combined with media such as an image, video, or audio.

Text and media work together for the greatest impact.

Even blog posts like this use an image to display when shared on social media.

Integrated Marketing

Betty Withrow and Greg Dixon include copywriting and multimedia with the projects we do for clients.

Greg Dixon offers two comprehensive retainers.

One is a monthly retainer to do whatever is needed for your success until cancelled. That could include the Golden Publishing Sales Machine.

The other is a one-and-done deal to implement something like the Publishing Cash Machine one time.
