We live in an amazing, beautiful universe, constantly in a state of creative expansion.
Many nature shows capture the diversity, splendour, and creative adaptation of plants and animals in the natural world. And natural miracles are happening in our own backyards.
A single square foot of land anywhere on Earth has more life diversity than we can explore in a lifetime.
The vastness and the activities of the universe are simply beyond human comprehension.
For example, the gold that we value and find in most places on Earth was formed in a supernova.
Diamonds we can create. Gold, we cannot.
However the universe came to be, it is worthy of awe and gratitude.
This post is a celebration of the natural world and human creative expression.
Human Creativity
Our ancestors survived and thrived through adaptation and creative solutions to challenges.
Fire, clothing, housing, farming, and adaptive innovation evolved to create many diverse cultures with common roots.
Creativity is evident in technical innovations, writing, art, dance, music, and other forms of expression.
We were born creative in every way.
Music Creativity
Our human music experience begins in the womb and continues throughout our lives.
We Were Born Musical
Music is arguably our premier human ability.
I explore music and encourage you to add more music to your life with Playing Music For Fun.
Writing Creativity
Next to musical ability, all humans have innate abilities in writing and language.
If you have ever written something down, you are a writer.
One of the things that attracted me to study literature is the gift of experiencing the thoughts, imagination, insights, and experiences of humans since the earliest days of writing things down.
Songs, poetry, novels, how-to books, memoirs, fantasy, family stories, and napkin plans are forms of writing.
If anyone ever reads something you wrote, you are a published author.
I started my Writing For Fun workshops and articles to encourage people to write and publish whatever is in their hearts to share with the world.
There are many articles and interviews on the site to help with your writing and publishing journey. I am also available to help you all along the way.
Art Creativity
Visual art is everywhere, enhancing our living experience.
My mother was creative with ceramics and fabric art.
I attended an art summer school before starting grade one and enjoyed classes until I had to choose between art and music in high school.
I still enjoy drawing and painting and find the process meditative.
Bonnie presents an art journaling class where people journal and illustrate their journals with mixed media.
I plan to do more art in the future.

Embracing All Creativity in Film and Video
Film and Television programs bring writing, sound, and cinematography together to tell stories.
Many are visually stunning.
Try turning off the sound, and many movies lose their emotional impact when the music and background sound effects are removed.
What are your favourite movies for sound and visual impact?
The Olympic Sports and Closing Ceremony
The Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games 2026, which were just completed, were a celebration of human achievement and artistic expression.
Ice Dancing combines athletic performance, music, and visual grace to provide audiences with a popular experience.
Many aerial skiing and snowboarding events combine tremendous athletic ability with visually stunning creative moves.
The closing ceremonies at the Verona Arena, built by the Romans in 30 AD, combined ancient and modern music, dance, and stunning visual presentations and stories.
William Shakespeare’s first play was The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart presented concerts in the amphitheatre.
